Weather puts paid to Aironi clash and Munster camp in Italy

Munster’s hopes of holding a camp in Italy on Sunday have gone by the wayside after their game against Aironi was called off yesterday because of the freezing weather.

Overnight temperatures plummeted to -12 in Vidana yesterday and the weather is not expected to improve sufficiently between now and Sunday when Tony McGahan’s men were due to take on Aironi at Stadio Zaffanella.

Munster had planned on remaining in northern Italy next week in camp as they are scheduled to play Treviso on Saturday week at Stadio di Monigo.
