THAT not so merry month of May 2010 has haunted the dreams of Munster forwards long enough.

Now memories of the scrum creaking in two semi-finals are being put to positive use.

Damaging defeats to Biarritz in the Heineken Cup and Leinster in the Magners League have been followed by a few dark days since. But forwards coach Anthony Foley is now seeing the fruits of a turnaround in fortunes after he, scrum coach Paul McCarthy and the pack went back to basics.
