Aussie fans vent fury on Facebook

A STREAM of explicit abuse posted on the official Wallabies Facebook fan page following their shock loss to Ireland has forced moderators to plead for calm.

Under the heading A Message To Page Members, fans — and detractors — were urged to watch their language and keep the faith because “now more than ever the Wallabies need your support!”

A multitude of derogatory comments followed Australia’s poor showing last Saturday, as Ireland won the match 15-6 and took a giant stride toward topping Pool C.
