Elwood wary of Bradley factor in Edinburgh

CONNACHT travel to the Scottish capital buoyed by two wins on the trot, but this evening (7.30pm) they will come up against an Edinburgh outfit determined to get their first victory in this season’s RaboDirect Pro12.

Elwood wary of Bradley factor in Edinburgh

Connacht have never beaten Edinburgh at home, and coach Eric Elwood knows the former head coach at Connacht, Michael Bradley, has the advantage in this encounter.

“There is no doubt Michael knows the lads inside out as he knows me. He knows what we are capable of and he knows our weaknesses,” Elwood said.

Elwood has made two changes to the starting line-up after last week’s 13-11 win over the Scarlets with Ethienne Reynecke starting at hooker and Adrian Flavin moving to the bench, and Johnny O’Connor replacing Ray Ofisa at openside. The fixture marks the 200th cap for veteran lock Michael Swift.

CONNACHT (v Edinburgh): G Duffy (capt), M McCrea, H Fa’afili, E Griffin, T O’Halloran, M Jarvis, F Murphy, R Loughney, E Reynecke, R Ah You, M McCarthy, M Swift, J Muldoon, J O’Connor, G Naoupu.

Replacements: A Flavin, B Wilkinson D Rogers, D Gannon, R Ofisa, P O’Donohoe, N O’Connor, B Tuphy.
