NO sooner has the curtain gone down on one rugby season than the planning has begun for the new campaign.

The draw for the 2011-12 Heineken Cup, the final of which will take place in Twickenham on the weekend of May 19 and 20 next, will be made on Tuesday in London. Fans will be able to watch the draw live on www.ercrugby.com from 12 noon.

For the first time, Ireland will have four participants in the tournament, with Connacht gaining entry thanks to Leinster’s Heineken Cup final victory this season.

England have the highest representation with seven teams — Harlequins qualified courtesy of their Amlin Challenge Cup win — France have six, Ireland four, Wales three and Italy and Scotland have two each.

The Heineken Cup qualifiers are:

IRELAND (4) — Leinster, Munster, Ulster, Connacht

ENGLAND (7) — Bath, Gloucester, Harlequins, Leicester, London Irish, Northampton, Saracens

FRANCE (6) — Clermont-Auvergne, Biarritz, Castres, Montpellier, Racing Metro, Toulouse

WALES (3) — Cardiff, Ospreys, Scarlets

ITALY (2) — Aironi, Treviso

SCOTLAND (2) — Edinburgh, Glasgow
