Door is still open for Williams and Henson, insists Gatland

WALES coach Warren Gatland says the door is not closed on Martyn Williams’ international career and he has not ruled out Gavin Henson featuring in the World Cup selection shake-up, despite omitting both players from his 28-man Six Nations squad.

Williams, 35, is just two caps short of reaching 100 for Wales, having made his Test debut in 1996. But Gatland has preferred Sam Warburton and Josh Turnbull as openside flanker options for the Six Nations campaign.

Centre Henson has started his comeback with Saracens after 20 months in the rugby wilderness, although he is currently sidelined because of a calf muscle injury.
