Positive news on the injury front

WITH Paul O’Connell ready to make his comeback from suspension, Munster hope to have further good team news for next week’s Heineken Cup clash with Toulon.

Coach Tony McGahan was taking a positive view that both John Hayes and David Wallace, who retired with minor injuries during Saturday’s Magners League win over Glasgow, would be fit for selection. “We’ll have to wait and see, but David (ankle) and John (back) should hopefully be ok.”

Additionally, Sam Tuitupou (ill) and Doug Howlett (calf strain) should both be back in the mix, according to McGahan who said Howlett’s absence from Saturday’s game was “precautionary.”
