IRELAND flanker Stephen Ferris has one big goal this season for Ulster and that is to reach the knock-out stages of the European Cup particularly as the side is now awash with some big hitters from South Africa.

Heading into tonight’s opening Magners League game against champions Ospreys at Ravenhill, Ferris is convinced that it is going to be a big season for Ulster.

“It has to be quarter-final stages or bust this season,” said Ferris who is now back to full fitness after suffering a broken cheekbone at the tail-end of last season.
