Irish captain O’Gara relishing clash with pal Quinlan

ENTHUSED by being honoured with the captaincy of an Irish team for the second time in his illustrious career, Ronan O’Gara is avidly looking forward to tomorrow might’s clash with the Barbarians at Thomond Park, not least because his great friend Alan Quinlan will be in the opposing line-up!

“I’m sure we’ll see the real Quinny at the weekend,” said O’Gara with a broad but slightly wary smile.

“It will be my first time ever playing against him. We’ve been on the same side for the last 13 years and I’d be very close to Alan of all the fellas and have a great relationship with him.
