As the deposed Heineken Cup champions prepare for tomorrow night’s Magners League clash with Munster at the RDS, McLaughlin described how their Irish rivals brought an extra special edge to every encounter between the teams.

“It doesn’t come much bigger than against them. You’re putting yourself against guys who you are up against in terms of your position (from a national team perspective) and there’s not any better way of testing yourself than against high quality guys in an intense match.
