West’s awake but Euro dreams die
After a mammoth effort in the Sportsground last night, in the semi-final of the Amlin Challenge Cup, against a team that has just finished second only on points difference in the French Top 14, Connacht came up just short.
On balance, it would have to be admitted that on the night the better team won. Only marginally the better team, but the better team nonetheless. And yet, Connacht came so close, oh so agonisingly close. How did they not score a try in the second half?
