Scarlets’ Jones to miss Reds tie

SCARLETS fly half Stephen Jones will miss Sunday’s Magners League clash with Munster.

The Welsh international was injured in their 14-9 Magners League win at Newport Gwent Dragons on New Year’s Eve and medical staff yesterday confirmed Jones sustained a grade one AC joint sprain in his right shoulder that will leave him sidelined for around two weeks.

However club bosses are confident he will be fit for the region’s big Heineken Cup home fixture at Parc y Scarlets against London Irish on Sunday, January 17.
