Flannery fighting fit again

JERRY FLANNERY looks set to be named in Ireland’s starting line-up for Sunday’s Test against Australia at Croke Park after playing a full part in training at Donnybrook yesterday.

Flannery fighting fit again

The Munster hooker had been a doubt for the opening game of the Grand Slam champions’ autumn series with a calf injury but Ireland team manager Paul McNaughton is confident Flannery will be fit to face the Wallabies.

McNaughton revealed: “Jerry’s 100% ready and available for selection,” he said. “If he comes through [this] morning’s session as well as we expect him to, one of the other hookers (Sean Cronin or John Fogarty) will join the ‘A’ team up in Belfast.”
