Pack let themselves down against Ulster, says Heaslip

JAMIE HEASLIP has taken to heart the criticism of Leinster’s defeat by Ulster and warned Cardiff Blues to expect a backlash.

Pack let themselves down against Ulster, says Heaslip

Leinster bid to get back on track and aim for the top Magners League spot again having lost at Ravenhill last weekend and the international lock is determined to spearhead a vast improvement this Saturday at the RDS.

Heaslip conceded that standards slipped at Ravenhill, admitting: “As a pack, we let ourselves down; it was particularly disappointing because in the last couple of seasons we have raised our game to a high standard of intensity, especially during those closely contested matches. We maybe didn’t meet them at the gain line as we should have and we certainly made a lot of mistakes. They punished us and got the scores on the board; we’re a bit upset at having let ourselves down.
