Well, Munster crashed in the game they most wanted to win – the Heineken Cup semi-final againstLeinster at Croke Park – and theLions lost the series in South Africa.

So in many ways it’s a case of half full, half empty for O’Connell. He’s had a month to relax and now he’s back training with Munster, he couldn’t be happier.
