Focused O’Driscoll eyes glory for Lions

BRIAN O’DRISCOLL yesterday sent a warning to world champions South Africa when he declared that the 2009 British and Irish Lions were more unified than any of the two previous squads he had been involved with.

He said there was a major beneficial difference in the four years since the last tour. “It is evident off the pitch; hopefully it will be evident on the pitch as well,” said the Irish captain.

O’Driscoll is under no illusions as the Lions go in search of a second successive Test series victory over South Africa: “Some of it comes down to luck but you have to create your own luck as well.
