D’Arcy grateful for Kidney’s ‘big gamble’

GORDON D’ARCY hailed Declan Kidney’s man-management as he celebrated an international return with a crucial try in the victory over France.

D’Arcy said Kidney’s quiet encouragement had been crucial as he made his way back from three operations and 11 frustrating months on the sidelines.

“I asked Declan what he expected of me and he just said he only wanted to see me back playing.”
