‘We have to want it more than them’

EUPHEMISM dies a quick death when you talk to Donncha O’Callaghan. General enquiries about those disappointing performances against Connacht and Ulster are soon fielded openly and honestly by the Munster second row.

‘We have to want it more than them’

“All that matters is performance and getting results, isn’t it? When things go badly sometimes a loss can help, because when we lose, we go back and look at where we went wrong.

“In the Clermont game, and other games like that, when you get away with a win, you don’t go back over it as well as we did over the Connacht and Ulster games. Nobody is as harsh on each other as we are. If things aren’t going well, you’re going to hear it from your peers, and it’s a great way to have it.”
