Eager O’Leary grasps next opportunity

THESE are hectic days in the life of Tomás O’Leary.

Less than a year ago, Tomás was a support player in Munster, back-up to the established Peter Stringer at scrum-half, but, because of his pace and power, he was also cover for wing and — in an emergency — for centre.

A handy man on the bench then, and when Munster went over to Clermont last March for a vital Heineken Cup pool game, that’s exactly where Tomás spent the full 80 minutes: on the bench.
