Quinlan loses appeal against three-week ban

IRELAND’S appeal against the three-week suspension handed to flanker Alan Quinlan for stamping has been rejected.

Quinlan was banned for an incident involving All Black number eight Rodney So’oialo during the first half of last Saturday’s 22-3 defeat.

An International Rugby Board appeal committee met in Dublin to hear the case but decided the original punishment will stand.
