Champions Garryowen and tournament specialists Shannon served up a keenly fought, entertaining Munster Senior Cup contest at Coonagh on Saturday which ended in a deserved 22-16 victory for Mick Galwey’s side.

It is quite remarkable how Shannon continued to turn out top quality teams year in, year out despite losing so many players to the professional game.
