FIVE of the injured Irish rugby squad are all expected to be fit for World Cup action.

Captain Brian O’Driscoll, Shane Horgan and David Wallace are the three most noted of the five, while Paddy Wallace and Stephen Ferris are also hoping to return to the frame.

But last night a spokesman for the IRFU said everything was going according to plan, with O’Driscoll, Horgan and back-row forward Wallace, higher on the agenda than the other two, although both will be expected to play a role in the minor matches.
