Leamy leaps to the defence of his ‘catch and drive’ approach

THERE’S no mistaking Denis Leamy under a dropping ball — hands over his head, ready to catch and drive forward, to start another attack.

However, there’s always a chance of a knock-on with that technique — it happened in the Ireland-France game at Croke Park, for instance. Leamy acknowledges that but he doesn’t intend changing his ways.
