WALES flanker Martyn Williams believes Ireland can win the Grand Slam but warns they must show considerable improvement.

England and France scored far more comprehensive wins than Eddie O’Sullivan’s side at the weekend, but Williams suggested the circumstances and opposition were completely different.

“We are a far better team than either Italy or Scotland, so therefore you would have to give more credit to the Irish for winning,” he said.
