MALCOLM O’KELLY is a serious doubt for Ireland’s first Six Nations game this season, against Wales in Cardiff on Sunday week.

O’Kelly, the most capped Irish player, lasted only 51 minutes of Leinster’s Heineken Cup defeat away to Gloucester last weekend, and Irish manager, Eddie O’Sullivan, admitted yesterday that a persistent knee injury was a cause for concern.

“We’re a bit worried about Malcolm,” said the coach yesterday after the team’s first training session since arriving in camp.
