Munster can go from strength to strength, says Payne

SHAUN PAYNE played one of the games of his life on one of the most difficult days imaginable at Welford Road last weekend, but he knows the away victory in Munster’s opening match should be relished, and the resultant advantage protected.

Payne says the victory over Leicester has “put us on the front foot” and has opened up real possibilities of winning the group.

“It’s a different situation that existed last year after losing our first away game. It’s hugely important that we put in another strong performance this weekend, and that will strengthen our position even further.”
