MUNSTER captain Paul O’Connell always knew Leinster were capable of pulling out the type of solid forward performance that they exhibited in Lansdowne Road last night.

While the Leinster backs ruled the roost, and Brian O’Driscoll was named man of the match in front of a record 27,000 plus crowd, the Leinster forwards deserve huge credit for their contribution.

Leinster challenged Munster’s line-out and won three of Munster’s throws in the opening 50 minutes; they challenged at the breakdown and did well.
