RONAN O’GARA has not given up hope of playing for Ireland prior to the World Cup in Australia this autumn and winter.

O’Gara says injury problem exaggerated

Reports on the injury, a broken bone near his wrist, were exaggerated he said yesterday.

“I am going to miss out on Ireland’s game with Wales in the middle of August but I have a 90% chance of being involved in the second warm-up game against Italy a fortnight later. I am positive of being fully fit to prepare for the Scottish game early in September and, once again, I hope to be around for the Italian game.
