Robinson to delay departure date

LIONS coach Clive Woodward has given Jason Robinson permission to delay his departure to New Zealand to spend more time with his pregnant wife.

Robinson to delay departure date

Robinson usually takes his wife Amanda and their three children with him when touring, but his wife’s pregnancy means that she cannot fly to New Zealand. She is due to give birth in August and has recently been feeling unwell.

Woodward said Robinson was a world-class player and this delay to early June still gave him plenty of time to show he was worthy of a test place.
