Woodward right for Lions, says Robinson

ANDY ROBINSON last night described Clive Woodward as “the right person” to take charge of next summer’s Lions tour.

England World Cup-winner Woodward was appointed seven months ago to lead the Lions on their 11-game New Zealand trip, including three Tests against the All Blacks.

But Woodward's resignation from the England head coaching job last week and intense speculation surrounding that a new career in soccer caused concern in the Lions' ranks.
