Coach spoilt for back row choice

IRISH coach Eddie O’Sullivan will face one of his biggest selection dilemmas inside the next month.

Eight recognised back-row forwards’ names will be placed on a list in front of him, but O’Sullivan can only pick five or at most six for his World Cup squad.

The problem is that O’Sullivan will be duty-bound to bring three hookers and three scrum-halves to Australia, thus reducing his options in other areas of the squad, which is restricted to 30 players.
