Irish U-18s in Four Nations win

Second-half tries from Dan Lavery and Sean O’Brien helped Ireland’s Under-18s to their first victory - a 10-0 defeat of Scotland U-18 - at the Four Nations tournament at Dunvant in yesterday.

Having drawn 13-13 with the hosts and reigning champions Wales on Saturday, the Irish youngsters edged a muddy battle with their Scottish counterparts thanks to their forward dominance.

Exiles’ full-back Lavery sprinted over on 46 minutes, following a series of drives, with substitute prop Richard Sweeney notably prominent.
