‘Comeback Kid’ desperate to prove himself for World Cup

DAVID WALLACE could arguably be described as the comeback king, but he hopes this latest one is for keeps.

Wallace is delighted to be given the opportunity to play a role in Ireland's World Cup warm-up match with Wales at Lansdowne Road after a season he would prefer to forget.

"Last year, I had a couple of comebacks but I can't say they were particularly successful. I made my first sometime around the end of January and managed to play four games but my shoulder wasn't feeling right at all.
