Kidney left waiting as key players get knocks ahead of big clash

JOHN Hayes, Jerry Flannery and John Kelly are doubtful starters for Munster’s vital Heineken European Cup tie against Castres on Friday night.

There is particular concern about Hayes, who went off having damaged his ankle midway through the second half. The damage will be assessed later this afternoon.

Flannery, who went down with a back spasm, and Kelly, who injured a hand, are confident of being fit for Friday while coach Declan Kidney believes Marcus Horan, a out of the Edinburgh game with a facial infection, should be available. So should skipper Anthony Foley, who didn’t travel because his son was unwell.
