Woodward got things wrong, says Jenkins

LIONS coach Gareth Jenkins has admitted his boss Clive Woodward got things wrong on the ill-fated summer tour of New Zealand.

Llanelli Scarlets coach Jenkins was one of the few members of Woodward’s massive squad to return with his reputation unscathed, and said there were several reasons for the embarrassing Test whitewash.

“Clive got absolutely crucified in the media in Britain,” Jenkins said. “There were things he got wrong, and hindsight has told us that - but about 90 per cent of what he did was right.”
