Setanta set to show Belfast game

Setanta Sports, Ireland’s new sports channel, will broadcast Ulster’s opening Celtic League game away to Edinburgh on Saturday, while on Sunday, Leinster’s opener against Cardiff Blues will be shown live from Cardiff with a 5.15pm kick-off.

Setanta Sports will also feature live soccer, with coverage of the Republic of Ireland’s Group 4 rivals in the World Cup qualifying campaign. Switzerland, who ended Ireland’s Euro 2004 aspirations, begin their campaign with a home tie against the Faroe Islands. The game will be shown live with kick- off at 4.30pm on Saturday.

Later that evening, the other Group 4 game between group favourites France and Israel will be shown live with kick-off at 7.45pm.
