IT’S probably the last topic Eddie O’Sullivan wants to hear discussed, but the very least Ireland should be seeking when they meet England at Lansdowne Road on Sunday, March 29 is the Triple Crown.

Only poor old Wales stand between the Irish and that appetising prospect. Indeed they could be chasing the Six Nations Championship that day as well, given that the current French side, especially at Lansdowne Road, is eminently beatable.

The Irish party flew home from Edinburgh yesterday in understandably high spirits after Sunday's record demolition of Scotland and all set for their journey to the Eternal City on Thursday.
