Return of A international boosts exiles

A NUMBER of Irish players plying their trade in England and France could be back in the hunt for international recognition early next year.

The Irish Rugby Football Union yesterday announced it would stage an A international against France in Dublin in March, two years after the Six Nations A tournament was scrapped.

That will bring smiles from the exiles, who have been starved of the chance to impress national coach Eddie O'Sullivan, who is also delighted with the development.
