Stringer ready to slay Dragons

OVERSEAS talent will always add spice to Munster’s rugby hot-pot, but indigenous players will always be its core ingredient.

It’s one of the chief reasons why the fans follow the side in such large numbers, knowing that they can empathise with so many of the squad, a number of whom have become household names.

Fitting comfortably into that category is Peter Stringer, who has been central to a host of marvellous moments over the years. And inevitably, there is a reassurance that he’ll be there once again on Saturday evening, yapping away at the heels of his pack, trying to inspire the kind of performance that will yield another Thomond Park success, this time at the expense of the Newport Gwent Dragons.
