Diego Dias’ filly showed promise on her debut early this season but was below that next time out on what was her only turf outing to date.
Given a break after that run, she came back to a claimer in Dundalk and finished runner-up, beaten just a neck over six furlongs.
On the back of that effort, she was sent off 11-8 favourite for a maiden here and she held every chance before being outpointed close to home by Ballintogher.
All three of her runs to date at this venue have been over six furlongs, but she looks tailor-made for the drop back to five for today’s race.
She ought to have the measure of those with form, so a cautionary glance at the strength of the three newcomers in the market is recommended.
There is more quality and more interesting newcomers in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden, but there was plenty to like about Thirsty Owl’s debut effort and he makes the most appeal.
Gavin Cromwell’s gelding wasn’t without his supporters at big odds on his debut and while he could manage only fourth place, he was behind three rivals who had all shown promise in previous outings.
One of those – runner-up Watch Tower – reopposes and is respected, but it’s reasonable to believe the selection will take a big enough step forward to reverse that form.
Golden Trigger has shown good form in both outings but was a touch flat in the finish of his most recent outing and will appreciate the return to seven furlongs.
There are numerous newcomers worth noting in the betting in a race that likely holds plenty of future winners.
The finale is a competitive-looking handicap, but Bamako makes plenty of each-way appeal. Andy Oliver’s runner was a couple of places behind one of today’s rivals - Ballymagreehan - last time out, but that was over a mile, and he was having his first run in more than five months.
Down in trip and better for the outing, he should be ready to make a bold bid.
