Another midweek visit to Dundalk and Joseph O’Brien’s Seola will take a great deal of beating in the Bet On The Best Night Out At Dundalk Stadium Maiden.

The Le Havre filly made a promising debut late last month in Galway and if she makes the standard step forward from first race to second, she won’t have much to fear from today’s competition.

In that Galway race, which was run on heavy ground, she was slow to break from the stalls and shipped an early bump. Thereafter she was never in a position to get involved but it was taking how she made progress through the field before her run petered out very close to the line.

It was a good effort in the conditions and she has been found a good opportunity to get off the mark. Ocean Manifest has plenty of placed form and rates the most obvious danger.

Jp’s Express catches the eye in the View Restaurant At Dundalk Stadium Median Auction Maiden.

Michael Mulvany’s gelding made his debut last month in Galway and there was significant market interest on the show, on which his price fell from 40-1 to 12-1. It was all the more noteworthy for the fact he faced two experienced Ballydoyle runners, who, incidentally, finished first and second.

He was able to hold a decent position through the race and while he couldn’t pick up well enough to land a meaningful blow, he stuck to his task well to finish a promising fifth. In a median auction maiden this time, and with Wesley Joyce’s 3lb claim bringing his burden down to 8-11, he has strong claims.

Now Maybe was a 7-2 chance on debut but struggled to cope with the heavy ground at Listowel. He was beaten a proverbial mile but clearly much better was expected, and it will be interesting to see what the market makes of his chance this time. Fox In Flight ran well on his all-weather debut and should be in the frame once again.

It could be a good afternoon for Wesley Joyce, who also has leading claims aboard Eoin Doyle’s Moondharrig in the finale, the Now Racing Every Wednesday At Dundalk Handicap.

In recent weeks Wegotogether has picked up some all-weather experience and she now looks ready to make her mark on the surface. Having finished fifth to Venetian on her first run on the surface, and an equally promising fifth to Darkdeserthighway on her second, the filly will find the Celebrate Your Special Occasions At Dundalk Stadium Handicap just a shade easier, and can get off the mark for her career.

Her wide draw is the only drawback but she appeals as one who could yet rise up the ratings a little, and this is a good place to start.

One of her more interesting rivals is handicap debutant Tour Guide Tom, who did some good late work on his third outing in a maiden. He has some all-weather experience, having raced here on his only start for Ger Lyons, and was notably well backed on the show for that maiden won by the smart Bishopton. Money for Charles Byrnes’s handicap debutant would be worthy of respect.
