A 36-year-old man is due to appear in court accused of dangerous driving after seven people were injured when a car hit pedestrians in Derby.

Sandhu Ponnachan, of Chariot Close, Alvaston, has also been charged with six counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, one count of attempted grievous bodily harm, and one count of possession of a bladed article, Derbyshire Police said on Tuesday night.
