Off the track for almost a year, since finishing third behind Firefox and Ballyburn at Fairyhouse, the Willie Mullins-trained Irancy impressed when making all in the BetVictor Graduation Bonus Series Maiden Hurdle in Punchestown, coasting home nine lengths clear of market rival Will The Wise.

Winning rider Mark Walsh said:  “He had the form in the book and I would have been disappointed if he didn’t win. It was straightforward, he jumped great, and won as he liked. He’s not a slow horse and options are open for him. This was the first time I’ve sat on him and I was delighted with him.”
