Dundalk preview: Whisper A Prayer can see off all comers

Joseph O’Brien’s three-year-old filly looked promising at two, when she followed up a reasonable debut with a third-place finish behind subsequent Epsom Oaks winner Ezeliya and the now 103-rated Wendla, with the likes of Higher Leaves and Get in behind her.

Another midweek visit to Dundalk and the nap goes to Whisper A Prayer, who can get off the mark in the Book Online At DundalkStadium.com Maiden.

Joseph O’Brien’s three-year-old filly looked promising at two, when she followed up a reasonable debut with a third-place finish behind subsequent Epsom Oaks winner Ezeliya and the now 103-rated Wendla, with the likes of Higher Leaves and Get in behind her.

She didn’t perform to that level next time and was also off the pace on her first start of this season but was better when third to Counterculture on her second start this term.

Off a 69-day absence, she went to Galway and ran better than her finishing position and distance beaten might suggest when finishing fourth behind Dollerina.

Sure to step forward for that run and to appreciate the extra furlong and this much easier task, she can race prominently from the outset and see off all comers. My Little Lady has pieces of form that make her a leading player at this level, and she can give the selection most to think about.

Forza Toro showed plenty of promise on his only outing to date and can build on it by taking the View Restaurant At Dundalk Stadium Median Auction Maiden. Johnny Feane’s colt made that debut in early September at Gowran Park and finished fourth behind Monumental, who went on to finish second in the Group 2 Champagne Stakes at Doncaster.

The selection raced prominently from an early stage and had his rivals in trouble at one point in the race.

Ultimately, he was unable to sustain his effort but in the context of this race, it was a fine effort. A horse with plenty of scope, he should have little trouble winning races, and from his low draw he should be able to take up a prominent position from the outset and if he has made the progress anticipated, he will be hard to beat.

Flash The Cash is interesting on his first try at seven furlongs, but newcomer Dahoma is worth noting in the betting.
