Aspire Tower ends long wait for victory with Punchestown success

Aspire Tower bridged a near four-year gap since his last success when making all under Darragh O’Keeffe to land the four-runner William Hill Committed To Top Prices Hurdle on the first day of Punchestown’s October meeting.

Trained for Robcour by Henry de Bromhead, the eight-year-old, who finished fourth in the 2021 Champion Hurdle, was reverting to hurdling after three outings over fences last season and displayed admirable enthusiasm for the game, bowling along in front and, ultimately, keeping top-weight Eagle Fang at bay by three and a half lengths.
