Suspended trainer Tony Martin has been slapped with an additional two-month suspension and shipped a €5,000 fine for conduct that was judged to have damaged the reputation of horseracing and risked causing serious damage to the interests of horseracing in Ireland.

Martin will not now be able to saddle a horse in his name until October 16. He does have the right to appeal the latest sanction but had indicated a willingness to comply with any disciplinary measures he might be subject to, prior to the referral.
