Derby weekend at the Curragh and the nap on Saturday’s card goes to the progressive Bluestocking, who can take the day’s feature, the Group 1 Cairn Community Games Pretty Polly Stakes. Ralph Beckett’s filly was a winner of her only start at two and despite the fact she failed to add that in six outings at three, she kept top company, and her best effort was when runner-up to Savethelastdance in the Irish Oaks.

Dropped back to 10 and a half furlongs for her first start of this season, the Juddmonte filly travelled strongly throughout a Group 2 at York and stretched right away to put six lengths between herself and the 114-rated Free Wind, who had won the same race in 2023.
