THE opening day of the Aintree festival is an important one for trainer Nicky Henderson, who had to take a step back from the Cheltenham Festival with his runners out of form. 

Shishkin and Sir Gino were just two of his charges to fail to make the line-up, but both can gain compensation this afternoon.
