DAY three of the festival and Gordon Elliott, who won the 2023 Paddy Power Stayers’ Hurdle with Sire Du Berlais, can ensure a stable follow-up with Teahupoo. 

Twelve months ago, the selection finished two places behind his stable companion and there seems to be a consensus that he should have won that day. I’m not sure that is the case but, nevertheless, it was a good run from the then six-year-old and one he can build on.
