Tom Dreaper, who took over the training licence from his father, Jim, at the start of the month, made an early mark when Folly Master took Tuesday’s opener at Thurles, the Leugh Beginners’ Chase.

The winner, the well-backed 11-10 favourite, landed a gamble in a handicap hurdle in late January at Punchestown when trained by Jim, and always looked likely to follow up on this his chasing debut.
